Friend of mine had one of those a long time ago. The only issue I remember was clogged sunroof drains.

I’ve also heard rust is an issue with most R107, not sure how a car from Rio fared after 41 years.

Yeah, and it depends on how the owner has cared for it. There’s a guy with a YouTube channel called Mercedes Source - he has some good advice in general for when you look at an old Benz. You might check him out.
